What makes KLOTZ LABS hyaluron cosmetics so unique?
- We use hyaluron in an extremely concentrated form. A higher concentration is hardly feasible biochemically — and does not make sense from a cosmetic point of view. Hyaluron itself possesses great waterbinding abilities and fills up the water reserves of our skin. This is the basis for its wrinkle-reducing and skin-tightening effect.
- We combine hyaluron with high-quality resorption substances, which maximize the absorption of hyaluron into the skin layers.
- We make use of the combined effect of hyaluron with other special protective ingredients that have a positive impact on cells and skin.
Hyaluron (hyaluronic acid)

Hyaluron is the main ingredient of our products. For this reason, it is important to us to explain to you in detail how and why this anti-aging cellular miracle is so effective.
Why do we need hyaluron?
Hyaluron — also referred to as hyaluronic acid or HA — occurs naturally in our bodies. More specifically, it is a very important substance. Why is that so? Because hyaluron is part of our extracellular matrix. It occurs in and between almost all body cells and serves as an ingenious all-rounder — both biochemically and mechanically. Our cartilage and joints, for example, are partly made up of hyaluron, which serves as a biological lubricant and shock absorber. In addition, hyaluron provides the collagen, which is prevalent in our bodies, with nutrients and keeps it healthy. It is also a main component of the vitreous body in our eyes, which basically consists of water — and 2 percent hyaluron. However, the largest percentage of hyaluron, approximately 50 percent, is contained in our skin.
What is hyaluron?
Organically and biochemically hyaluron (general term for hyaluronic acid) is a natural chain of polysaccharides, i.e. carbohydrates. These play an important role for plants, animals and human beings. They occur in the form of macromolecules, which means that they consist of thousands of molecules. Why is that so interesting to us as cosmetics producers and to you as a consumer? Because hyaluron as a hydrophilic, i.e. “water-loving” macromolecule can grow into extremely long chains and can bind substances, such as water.
What exactly is the effect of hyaluron based on?
In relation to its molecular mass, hyaluron can bind great quantities of water — up to 6,000 times as much. That means 6 liters per gram! In short: Hyaluron continually provides the skin with moisture. Even at low concentrations it forms a viscous gel, which helps the skin to retain water. With increasing age, in stressful situations or when exposed to adverse environmental impacts, the skin loses the ability to produce HA. When hyaluron is re-applied, this reactivates the self-moisturizing ability of the skin. It triggers a filling effect, which gives the skin additional volume. This effect makes the skin firmer and smoother.
How effective is hyaluron?
In short, hyaluron is very effective! It has been proven as being a natural substance which reduces the wrinkle depth of the skin and smoothens its appearance. The skin gets strengthened from the inside and the complexion becomes younger and more beautiful. Hyaluron has the same effect on all skin types. Furthermore, it has the same effect on women and men; however, the anti-aging effect can be more intensive with younger, thinner skin.
Can hyaluron reduce scarring?
As hyaluron, to put it simply, smoothes out irregularities with water, this uplifting mechanism also works if dermis, epidermis or hypodermis are damaged. In medical practice, hyaluron has been proven as being very effective in the treatment of fresh scars. At the same time, the water cushion creates a protective barrier, which shields the cells from the damaging effect of environmental toxins, free radicals and radiation and facilitates the transport of substances between the cells. As hyaluron acts as a kind of accelerator for the transport of other substances, the cells are more effectively provided with important nutrients and the removal of waste products and toxins is improved. In this way, hyaluron also improves anti-inflammatory properties and immunological defense mechanisms of the skin and accelerates its healing process. Redness and wrinkles are reduced; the skin appears firmer and more elastic. The tedious healing process of scars can thus be optimized through hyaluron.
Which is the best way to apply hyaluron to the skin?
Hyaluron can be applied to our skin externally, e.g. via serums, creams and lotions. We at KLOTZ LABS strongly believe in the ideal effects of highly concentrated serums. We have developed a formulation which optimizes the transport of hyaluron (in form of a super concentrate) and of a special resorption substance into the skin — the KLOTZ LABS formula. It presents the basis for the effective and yet gentle effect of our hyaluron products.
How is KLOTZ LABS hyaluron produced? Why is its purity and origin so important? Why can you rely on KLOTZ LABS hyaluron cosmetics?
Our hyaluron is produced with the help of biotechnology. This ensures the super concentration and purity. As KLOTZ LABS hyaluron does not contain animal protein, it cannot cause an allergic reaction and is dermatologically highly compatible, even in high concentration.
Why does hyaluron have to be consistently applied?
Hyaluron is an organic substance and can be found inside — and between — almost every body cell in varying concentrations. As such it constantly rebuilds — but also decomposes, with various half-lives between 12 and 18 hours. This is important to know, because if the skin's supply is insufficient, as is the case during the maturation process or with highly stressed skin, HA has to be constantly re-supplied due to this changing process.
